Most sites send people to a generator somewhere else. Running one yourself keeps that visit, and the credit. Agencies: ship it on every client site, no licence and no per site fee.

Building your site with AI?

Leave the box ticked and the paste carries one HTML comment written for Replit, v0, Cursor, Framer AI and the rest. Your assistant reads it, sets the brand colour, pins the preview under your header, then deletes the comment. Visitors never see it, and pasting it changes nothing if you install by hand instead.

Where you are building, step by step

Same snippet everywhere. Find your platform, check what it needs, then follow the steps.

WordPress

Block editor or classic. Nothing to install.

Needs: An admin or editor account, or super admin on multisite. On WordPress.com, a plan with plugins.

  1. Edit the page or post where you want the generator.
  2. Add a Custom HTML block.
  3. Paste the snippet and update the page.

Shopify

Uses a Custom Liquid section in your theme. The page editor removes scripts when it saves.

  1. Open Online Store, then Themes, and choose Customize.
  2. From the menu at the top, open Pages and pick your page template. For a single page, create a new template and assign it to that page.
  3. Choose Add section, then Custom Liquid.
  4. Paste the snippet into the Liquid code box and save.

Wix

Wix runs the snippet in a fixed box of its own, so you set the height and add the credit as a Wix link.

  1. In the editor, choose Add, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML. Pick Code and paste the snippet.
  2. Set the box to at least 1,200 px tall, or about 1,500 px if it is 860 px wide or narrower. It does not grow by itself.
  3. In the mobile editor, set the box to about 2,200 px tall.
  4. Under the box, add a text element reading "Free QR code generator by QRplify" and link the word QRplify to https://qrplify.com/?utm_source=embed&utm_medium=backlink&utm_campaign=qr-studio-embed. Then publish.

Squarespace

Any page that accepts a Code block.

Needs: The Core plan or higher, or an older Business or Commerce plan.

  1. Edit the page and add a Code block.
  2. Set the mode to HTML and paste the snippet.
  3. Turn off Display Source, then save.

Webflow

Publish is required before the widget renders.

Needs: A paid site plan.

  1. Drag an Embed element onto the canvas.
  2. Paste the snippet into the code editor and save.
  3. Publish the site, since embeds stay inert in the designer.

GoHighLevel

Funnels and websites, with the Custom JS/HTML element.

  1. Open the page in the funnel or website builder.
  2. Add a Custom JS/HTML element, open its code editor, paste the snippet and save.
  3. Save the page, publish it, then open the live page to check it.

Carrd

Uses the Embed element. It shows on the published site only.

Needs: Pro Standard or higher.

  1. Choose Add Element, then Embed, and set Type to Code.
  2. Paste the snippet into Code and set Style to Inline.
  3. Publish the site, since the builder shows nothing for an embed.

Plain HTML

Static sites, Jekyll, Hugo, Astro, React, anything.

  1. Open the template or page file.
  2. Paste the snippet where the generator should appear.
  3. Deploy as usual.

Then check the live page

Open the published page in a private window, logged out, and make a test code. Some builders hold back scripts while you are signed in or until you publish.

  • Squarespace may not run code while you are logged in, and Ajax loading on 7.0 templates can stop it.
  • Webflow and Carrd run the snippet only on the published site.
  • If a speed plugin delays JavaScript, such as WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache, exclude https://qrplify.com/embed.js in its settings.

Is the embedded generator really free?

Yes. The widget is free to embed on any site, commercial ones included. There is no fee, no quota on how many people use it, and no account needed to install it or to use it.

Do my visitors need a QRplify account?

No. Anyone landing on your page can make and download a QR code straight away. They only need an account if they want a dynamic code they can repoint later, or scan tracking.

Can I match the widget to my brand colour?

Yes, and the setting is already in the paste. Change data-accent from the default to your brand hex without the #, for example data-accent="F97316". The widget recolours its buttons, tints and focus states to match. The QR code itself stays black so it always scans.

Can my AI website builder install this for me?

Yes. Leave the AI setup notes box ticked and the paste carries one HTML comment aimed at Replit, v0, Cursor, Framer AI and similar tools. Your assistant reads it, sets the brand colour, pins the preview below your fixed header, then removes the comment. It is inert, so it changes nothing if you install by hand.

The QR preview scrolls out of view on long pages. Can I pin it?

Yes, with data-sticky, which ships in the paste set to off. Set it to your fixed header height in pixels, for example data-sticky="64", or to your header CSS selector such as data-sticky="#site-header" for an exact match that adapts per device. Off is the safe default because a pinned preview can otherwise sit under your header.

Will it slow my site down?

The loader is a small ES5 script and the widget renders inside an iframe, so it never blocks your page or touches your CSS. The script is async. The widget holds 600 px of space while it loads, then grows to its full height, about 1,150 px on a wide page and taller on a phone. On Wix, the box keeps the height you set in the editor.

Does the widget track my visitors or set cookies?

No. The widget sets no cookies, stores nothing on your visitors' devices and loads no trackers or ads. Codes are made in the visitor's browser, so what they type stays on their device.

Can I remove the QRplify credit?

The credit is the only thing we ask for in exchange, so please keep it. If the link is missing, our script adds the credit line back under the widget. If visitors cannot see a credit on the page, the widget shows its own inside its frame. Leaving the link in your HTML keeps the widget clean.

Does it work on WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Squarespace?

Yes. It works wherever you can add a script, and on some platforms that depends on your plan or role. Squarespace needs Core or higher, WordPress.com a plan with plugins, Webflow a paid site plan and Carrd Pro Standard. On your own WordPress you need an admin or editor account, or super admin on multisite. Where scripts are not allowed, use the link or the frame code instead. The steps for each platform are above.

What if my site has a Content Security Policy?

Allow script-src and frame-src for https://qrplify.com. If the frame is blocked, the widget fails gracefully and shows a working link to the generator rather than an empty box.

Why does the widget not load on my test page?

Open the test page from a local server, such as http://localhost, or from your live site. The widget loads only inside a page served over http or https, so a file opened straight from your disk cannot show it.

Do I need to update the snippet when the widget changes?

No. The loader is served live from qrplify.com, so improvements to sizing, mobile behaviour and the widget itself reach your site automatically. You paste once.
