Free Ethereum QR Code Generator
Turn your Ethereum wallet address into a QR code for free. One scan opens the sender's wallet with your address prefilled. No signup, no expiry.
Make a free Ethereum QR code for your wallet
This Ethereum QR code generator encodes your ETH wallet address as a scannable EIP-681 payment code. A sender scans the code in their wallet app and the address appears prefilled, ready to send. Use it on invoices, donation pages, point-of-sale signs, and any surface where you accept ETH or ERC-20 tokens.
The code follows the EIP-681 URI standard, the Ethereum equivalent of Bitcoin's BIP-21. It is static, free, and never expires.
What an Ethereum QR code does
- Prefills your wallet address: the scan opens the sender's wallet with your address loaded.
- Optionally prefills an ETH amount: the value is encoded in wei but displayed as ETH in the wallet app.
- Works with Ethereum-compatible wallets: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Exodus, and others read EIP-681 codes.
- Stays fixed: the printed code always encodes the same address.
Where Ethereum QR codes get used
- Invoices and freelance payments: clients paying in ETH scan instead of copying an address.
- NFT and crypto events: a sign at a panel or a stall where attendees pay in ETH.
- Donations: a code on a site or a physical board for crypto-native audiences.
- Personal transfers: share your address by scan instead of messaging a 42-character string.
How to create it
- Enter your wallet address: paste your Ethereum address (starts with 0x) in the field above.
- Set an amount (optional): enter an ETH amount for a fixed-price request.
- Check the preview: scan it with an Ethereum wallet app and confirm the address.
- Download: PNG or JPG for screens, SVG for print at any size.
Verify the address after generating. Ethereum payments are irreversible and a misprinted address means lost funds.
Tips for safe, reliable payments
- Scan your own code first: compare the address in the wallet app against what you entered.
- Clarify the network: the code encodes mainnet (chain 1) by default. If you operate on a different network, note it on the print.
- Leave the amount blank for tips and donations: the sender enters whatever they want to give.
- Keep contrast high: a clean code on a light background, with clear space around it.
FAQs
Which wallet apps can scan this?
Any EIP-681-compatible wallet: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Exodus, Ledger Live, and most others. If the wallet has a QR scanner in the send screen, it reads this code.
Can the code also receive ERC-20 tokens?
The address is the same for ETH and ERC-20 tokens. However, the standard EIP-681 QR for ETH does not encode a specific token contract. Token payments need EIP-681 with a to= parameter; for most uses, sharing the address alone and letting the sender pick the token works fine.
Can I recover funds sent to a wrong address?
No. Ethereum transactions are irreversible. Verify every character before printing.
I also accept Bitcoin or Litecoin.
Each coin uses its own QR format. See the Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Bitcoin Cash generators.
